I'm torn between getting a Switch version for the portability or the PC version for the better graphics and steam achievements. Getting both at the moment isn't an option (i wish!). Are the enhancements worth the loss of portability on the switch would you say? Some RPGs that are really long or grindy really shine on the switch due to portability, making it easier to pick up and play.

Not owning a PS3 when Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch was originally released in 2011, I never played it until it came to Switch recently.While its graphics have aged well and the soundtrack is gorgeous, a messy, cumbersome battle system and long-winded story keep it from being a truly wonderful experience.

It went on to have a sequel with Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom for PlayStation 4 in 2018. Fortunately for fans who missed out on the first title, the game was re-released for PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch in 2019.
